Brunswick Rhino Metallic Blue/Black Features:
The R-16 reactive coverstock provides a perfect balance between power and control. It produces easy length and backend hook motion without extreme sensitivity to the dry and oily parts of the lane. Combined with the traditional light bulb core shape, the Rhino delivers outstanding ball motion and impressive pin action for more strikes and higher scores.
Brunswick has introduced the Rhino as its new entry-level performance ball. This new series uses Brunwick’s pearlized R-16 Reactive coverstock and a traditional light bulb core design with a low differential of 0.030″. The Rhino is available in five new color schemes and this line replaces the previous Strike King line. All three of our test balls were the Red / Black / Gold Pearl model. Being a highly polished entry-level ball, our testers found their best reactions with the new Rhino on our shortest and lowest volume test pattern, and also after our patterns had broken down and experienced significant oil depletion.

I seem to be over balled this year, (Radical closer and DV8 verge are my go-to balls) so I just bought this “entry level” ball, but boy does it give you some higher performance results! Just your average league guy, (stroker at 17 mph. lower rev, with 187 avg) but I found this to be a great ball. Loves our drier house shot, especially game 2 or 3. Very shiny cover with low diff. Hooks more than I expected, but it’s a very readable smooth slower motion toward the pocket with LOTS of power and energy at the end. I drilled mine pin over bridge to get max length, but it still crosses plenty of boards. For me straight up 8,9,10 area is working great. Very clean thru the front, then picks up nice and predictable. Blends everything out. Would not recommend for use on anything too fresh or heavy oil, but I don’t think that’s what it’s designed for? To me this simplifies the game a lot when I’m struggling to find a good line with my other bigger equipment. Straighter is greater with the Rhino works for me. Excellent ball down choice for drier or beat up lanes. A lot of bang for $79.
