DV8 Hell Raiser Return Bowling Ball Features:
The Hell Raiser absolutely put DV8 on the map. The Hell Raiser provided a look on the lanes and an attitude that had not been seen before. DV8 is proud to bring you the Hell Raiser Return. This updated version features the same revered core, but they took the time to recreate it in a DOT version and added DynamiCore to increase it’s durability and hitting power. They have also updated the colors and cover to make sure it looks incredible and outperforms the original.

I have been waiting for a ball like this… this is the new version of a throwback that started the movement for the DV8 brand, and brought a new flavor of attitude to the bowling world. This ball is just as good as the version of old if not better with the new added Dynamicore and DOT technology. I got to test this ball with one of my favorite layouts from then and used the same designed layout as the old version and have not found any disappointment using it. The coverstock is upgraded for today’s conditions, but has lot more hitting power and is very sharp through the pocket. Don’t be fooled by the pearl coverstock, it grips the lane very nicely even in the beginning of league oil conditions.

OHH MY GOODNESS! I have waited for the opportunity to give this ball a try…. I cannot be more impressed. This is one of those balls that you can do anything with and it will be 10 back every-time. I love the way this thing reads the lane front to back, with plenty, I mean plenty on the back. A Skid Flip Monster! I ordered 2 of them, the first one i went 50 x 4 1/8 x 35, a stock layout. I can play in the oil, the dry, anything I want! I’m scared to drill the second with the first one being soo good!

The DV8 Bowling Hell Raiser Return is literally everything you would want and expect from a good skid / flip bowling ball. Clean up front, good length, left turn down lane, great pin action = a bunch of strikes. This ball will be great on house patterns, later on in blocks for sport shots that are broken down and any time you want to get left and open up the lane some. DV8 has been going back to it’s roots with some aggressive exciting balls and this is no exception. Drilled this one 70 x 3.75 x 20 to compliment the design of the ball and resulted in a high flaring change of direction pearl!

SKID AND SNAP!! If you are looking for the hockey stick shape look no further. The Hell Raiser Return has one of the fastest and strongest change of direction motions I’ve seen in a while. No worries at all having to throw it away from you. It will come screaming back like a bat outta hell. With this piece being so strong you can throw it on light/medium to even heavy oil. Has an absolute insane amount of hitting power. Good shelf appeal and color mix looks great rolling.

The 10th Anniversary of DV8 brings back one of the best asymmetrical balls DV8 ever produced ..the Hell raiser Return with D.O.T. Core and Inciter Max Flip Cover Stock. Drilled 70 x 5 1/2 x 35 this ball gets great skid in the front and stores a lot of energy in the mid-lane with a strong roll off the backend. With this drilling it allows me to move left when a typical house shot begins to break down and still gives me a great reaction to continue striking. This ball is very clean and creates a strong back end motion. This ball will be in my bag when heavier patterns begin to break down and when I can follow the oil pattern moving left away from those down the lane players.

No-thumb, one league per week, tournaments when I can. Tremendous slouch.
What’s old is new, and that’s a good thing.
The Hell Raiser absolutely put DV8 on the map. Ten years ago, the Hell Raiser provided a look on the lanes and an attitude that had not been seen before. DV8 is proud to bring to you the Hell Raiser Return for DV8’s 10th anniversary. This updated version features the same revered asymmetric Hell Raiser core as the original, but they took the time to recreate it in a DOT version and added DynamiCore to increase it’s durability and hitting power. Also updated is the colors and cover, Inciter Max Flip, to make sure it looks incredible and outperforms the original.
The out of box surface is 500/1000/1500 and then finished with Crown Factory Compound and paired with the core and cover combination is intended to have strong mid lane and backend motion on medium to heavy oil, and that’s exactly what i get with my chosen layout of 4.125x5x2.625 to further promote that snappy, quick response off of the dry. The Hell Raiser Return might not be the first ball out of my bag on a fresh condition but it usually sees time on the lanes once the pattern starts to transition and a solid is reading the lane too early. This is by far the ball that I trust the most when I stand left, aim right and full send it to the dry to come back HARD to the pocket. But even with that said, the Hell Raiser Return with OOB surface, to me, reads the mids earlier like a hybrid even though it’s a pearl cover. When I’m rolling it there’s almost a guaranteed chance that a messenger will connect with and take out that dreaded 10-pin …and we all like to see that.
DV8 has truly gone back to it’s roots with loud, bold and in-your-face colors on the Hell Raiser Return choosing Red, Yellow and Black with White lettering. If you recall the original Hell Raiser, or find pictures on the inter webs, you will probably see more yellow used on it in comparison the the Hell Raiser Return. Whatever the case, the ball looks wonderful and I love being able to see how the ball revs as it goes down the lane and as it’s driving through the pins.
Premium performance, you won’t be disappointed in the Hell Raiser Return.
Be well, rip racks …and shred pins.

I was unable to throw the original, but this ball will not disappoint anyone. Compared to the Intimidator pearl, it is a little earlier in the midlane but still have the same great recovery. I also took the shine off to a 1500 Trucut pad and this ball became a hook monster. So whether you want to leave on the polish on or have a sanded pearl, this ball can handle easy surface changes when more or less hook is needed.
