Hammer Obsession Tour Pearl Bowling Ball Features:

Hammerheads have been obsessed with the Obsession Tour since its release in February. The Obsession Tour provided an incredibly unique ball motion, and bowlers have wanted more of it, but for lanes in transition and breaking down. The Obsession Tour Pearl glides effortlessly through the body of the lane and has an aggressive motion continuation movement throughout the backend and through the pin deck. The Obsession Tour Pearl is an all-gold ball that Hammer fans will love! Featuring DOT Technology, which allows you to drill anywhere which makes this ball even tougher.

The obsession tour pearl is a special piece that compliments the obsession tour. When the obsession tour becomes to early and lazy down lane you can ball down to the obsession tour pearl and get the length needed and backend motion that is predictable. This ball will be great for when the fronts start to go away and carry down begins to happen. You won’t be disappointed.

  2. Tom Marlow

Wow. I’m really liking this ball.
Obsession Tour Pearl is the perfect complement to the obsession tour. Super clean through the front of the lane with a big motion on the backend.
When I say it’s the perfect complement to the obsession tour. Once you see the session tour hooking early not quite finishing on the backend grab the obsession tour pearl and you won’t miss a beat his bowl pick up right where you left off.

Stats: PAP 4 over ¾ up, 14.5 mph, 18 tilt, 275 revs. The Obsession Tour Pearl is the latest asymmetrical piece from Hammer. Building off the popular Obsession Tour, this ball is wrapped in the TourV2 Pearl coverstock, giving it more length and angularity than the original Tour. I drilled mine 45×4.25×30. I have been extremely impressed with how easily I can move left, even with my lower rev rate, and still get great recovery with this ball. If you are looking for something for medium oil or transitioning lanes, this will make a perfect addition to your bag.

Pure gold! Here is the much anticipated obsession tour pearl and it didn’t disappoint. I was worried that the pearl and polished cover would take away the smooth, controlled, and continuous motion of the obsession tour. I was wrong and couldn’t be happier about it. For me this ball is just what it should be, a step down from the obsession tour. Same shape, same continuation just cleaner which is perfect for when the lanes break down or you just need the ball to get further down the lane before it makes the turn. I forgot to mention it’s gold, the shelf appeal alone on this one is worth the price.

  5. Ryan Mitskavich

As a fan of both the Obsession and Obsession Tour, this was one I could not wait to throw. The Obsession Tour Pearl definitely does not disappoint. I use this ball after my Obsession Tour starts to lose strength downlane. It is the perfect compliment to both the Obsession and Obsession Tour. And who cannot love the gold color.

  6. Robbie Patterson

I might be a little biased as I love gold, but this ball is everything I hoped it would be and more. The numbers are very similar to the IQ Tour Pearl (also gold), but the Obsession Tour Pearl being an Asymmetrical ball, it gets going down lane just a little bit more. The ball is clean through the fronts as you’d expect with a Pearl, but the movement off of the oil, I’d describe it as a strong arcing motion. Compared to the Web Pearl, the Obsession will be slightly earlier and not as angular. Honestly, it’s a fantastic options when moving from a solid ball and it’s just not time for those longer stronger pearls.

This is a great compliment to the Obsession Tour! I drilled this pin down so it starts up alittle earlier and has a strong continuous backend motion. When the Obsession Tour starts to read early this is the ball to switch to. Overall I’m impressed with how this ball goes through the pins!!!

This is one of those unique balls that you just need to have in your bag. The pearl cover with the same low differential as the solid gives you an unbelievable motion. This ball is very versatile as it allows me to play straighter angles as well as move in and hook it. The lower differential makes this ball very controllable. Comparing it to the solid, I would say its about 2 feet longer with 5 to 6 more boards of back end.

  9. Moe Davidson – Hammer Amateur Staff

This ball is really one of a kind. This is one of those balls that you can do almost anything with, and that should go EVERYWHERE with you. This ball blends different patterns so beautifully well, it makes you want to see the transition faster than normal so you can watch this ball really shine. There is nothing better than a pearl with a low diff to help control wet/dry where you don’t have to make drastic changes in your release or speed. This ball is a great choice for bowlers of all calibers as allows you to play different parts of the lane with ease, and the motion is very predicatable wherever you decide to project the ball.

The Hammer Obsession Tour Pearl is full of performance. This bowling ball uses a pearl version of V2 cover that helped that ball be such a success. This ball uses the regular Obsession Tour core without the flip portion of the block. Without the flip portion of the block it results in a more controllable reaction throughout the shot. The Obsession Tour Pearl is smooth getting down the lane with an aggressive backend motion that continues through the pins.

  11. Michael M. Piano (verified owner)

BowlerX has this under a solid reactive, when it’s really a pearl.

This ball made it possible for me to break 200 in league yesterday on Kegel High Street, 3rd game. This pearl doesn’t snap at the end but keeps a nice continuous arc through the pins.

One of my faves for sure!

  12. Bryant Ezell

The Obsession Tour was one of my favorite balls of the year, and the pearl does not disappoint. Once my solid starts to burn up a little too early, I can confidently go to the pearl for the same predictable motion that saves a little more energy for down lane. This 1-2 punch will remain in my tournament bag for a long time.

Very smooth through the front, but the low diff core makes it not as angular (for me) on the backend. A nice change from my other asym/pearl/skid flip balls.

  15. Petro

The Obsession Tour Pearl glides effortlessly through the body of the lane and has an aggressive motion continuation movement throughout the backend and through the pin deck. Very Impressive! Have used this in multiple tournaments and have not been disappointed.

Drilled mine very similar to the solid version. I was very pleased as I was able to put the solid away game 2 and 3 and transition into this piece. I through it on multiple league patterns, as well as different sport patterns , and it was very controllable and you could see the motion right off your hand. I did have more success hitting it with a light 2k pad after a game on house as I typically have to do with pearls from factory. Don’t be afraid , it takes to surface adjustments well.
