Radical Payback Bowling Ball Features:

Radical is excited to introduce two balls that Mo Pinel had been working on before his passing. The Trail Blazer, appropriately named since we all know what a trailblazer Mo was. The Trail Blazer is a Top-Shelf launch featuring a strong performing asymmetrical core and the new MOtion Magic cover stock. The second launch, the Payback, features a new Mo design and is a medium differential symmetrical core using the Ai-27 Pearl Plus cover. Both balls have the hard-hitting DynamiCore to assure the increased striking power our Radical Fans are accustomed to seeing.

The Payback is a benchmark addition to the Radical symmetrical line-up. This new Mo core design has an RG of 2.528 and a differential of 0.041 and is wrapped with the Ai-27 Pearl Plus. This cover core combination fills a gap in the Radical symmetrical line, creating more mid-lane motion than the Bonus line and more backend than the Intel line.

The Payback is a great Pearl Symmetrical with a 500,1000,1500 matte finish. Generally I don’t like to out surface on my pearl but Phil Cardinale got this one right. It reads the midlane fantastic. Really hard to through this one through the spot. I like how it allows me to get a tad deeper than most pearls on the fresh and doesn’t overact if you get a little soft or hit the friction a bit early. I drilled mine 4.25×35 and will be doing a complete symmetrical lineup comparison next week. Don’t miss on this investment in your game it will definitely get you some Payback.

Stats: PAP 4 over ¾ up, 14.5 mph, 18 tilt, 275 revs. The Payback is the latest symmetrical piece from Radical Bowling Technologies. It features a new Mo-designed core and is wrapped in the Ai-27 Pearl Plus coverstock. Don’t let the term pearl fool you, this ball is sanded to 500, 1000, 1500 as its out of box surface and can handle the midlane very well while still providing ample back end. I drilled mine 4.25×25 and left the surface as is. The first night using it on league it was reading early midlane due to my lower ball speed, but now with some lane shine I am getting a little more length out of it. I really like this ball as a benchmark solid, so I have placed it in my tournament bag. Not only is it a great benchmark, it is a fantastic ball for a variety of league conditions.

    Radical Payback
I’m a left handed bowler with a ball speed around 14.5 mph. My Rev rate is around 280 rpms. My tilt is 15 degrees with a axis rotation of 60 degrees. I recently punched up this ball. The layout is 50 x 5 x 40. When this ball see friction it turns right. It is very strong off the spot. It’s like a bonus but on steroids. For those bowlers that have lower rate Rev. I think you will love this ball. The bowlers with a higher Rev rate. Well let’s just say move deeper and send it to the friction. It will recover. This ball has so much continuous. I think it’s a great addition to the Radical bowling technology family. Great job Mo Pinel.

The payback is going to be your first ball out of the bag benchmark ball. Features a new core from the bowling genius Mo. ( RIP Mo)
What makes his balls so unique is it has the Ai-27 Pearl cover, but it comes out of the box at 1500. You will find that this ball was made for the average Bowler everyday. What that means is the motion is very predictable you can see it make changes whether it’s left or right. I drilled mine 50x4x30. The ball easily clears the front of the lane and gives me a smooth continuous motion thu the pins.

The payback is currently my benchmark ball. It is the first ball out of my bag. This ball has been very different from other benchmark balls I have relied on in the past. I drilled my Payback with a 55×5″x45 layout and I changed the out of box surface (which is 1500) to 3000. I bowl in an area where there is a lot of early friction. The Ai-27 Pearl coverstock helps my ball through the front part of the lane and the tried and true Intel provides a controllable and continuous motion that I love to see. I highly recommend this ball!
Stats: Right handed, 450rpms, 17mph, Tilt: 12 degrees, Rotation: 45 degrees

New Radical benchmark. Solid/Pearl. Great first ball out of the bag. If you liked the bonus line, you’ll love this one. More overall motion. The Payback is super clean with a strong backend motion. Can have a snappy characteristic at times. Loads of hitting power. Very versatile coverstock with surface adjustments. I personally like it at 2K which provides a little rounder shape. Has an awesome color mix and shelf appeal.

  7. Jason Taylor

The Payback is a double threat. A beautiful ball, and a beautiful roll. This beautiful pearl comes 500, 1000, 1500 SIAAIR micro pad finish, but accepts surface changes very well. The Mo-designed symmetrical core loves the mid-lane.  If you are looking for a control ball that doesn’t over/under on you this is your ball.
