Storm Phaze III Bowling Ball Features:
The Phaze III is the highly anticipated follow-up to the popular Phaze II in Storm’s Master line. The Phaze II is loved for its versatility, especially on tougher lane conditions, and the Phaze III’s motion complements it nicely. The low RG, high differential Velocity core design is identical in the three Phaze bowling balls. The Phaze III’s R3S Hybrid coverstock from the Intense Fire comes out of the box at a 1500 grit polished finish to push this ball farther down the lane than the Phaze II, while offering a bigger and stronger move off the dry. The quicker response to the friction is not surprising from the polished hybrid cover and many will be pleasantly surprised with the amount of total hook this ball creates.
A never-before-seen cover and core combination of R3S Hybrid and the Velocity Core shines above all else. It reveres its past but is imminently future-forward. When the corners get tough, R3S gets tougher. The Velocity Core has become a staple in the Storm lineup. This low RG, high differential construction has turned into the go-to chassis for professionals around the world. Its benchmark characteristics serve a multitude of styles across a variety of patterns.
This fast-revving shape, the aptly named, supercharged Velocity core smooths out the backend reaction without over-reacting and avoids creating an undesirable last-second movement. The nature of the core gives it plenty of motion due to the higher differential, but with the forgiveness all players love to see.
R3S is the third generation of Storm’s flagship coverstock: Reactor cover material. This shell has a measurable porosity that is higher than its predecessor. This increased porosity reads the lane slightly sooner than Reactor or R2S and smooths out the overall reaction. Blending out lane transition is one of R3S’s best features.
