Motiv Steel Forge Bowling Ball Features:
Strength meets speed with the introduction of the new Steel Forge. Built upon the chaos unleashed by the Evoke Hysteria, we took the same Propulsion MXV Pearl cover found on the Evoke Hysteria and wrapped it around the Detonator core to create an explosive down-lane reaction. This is a sleek, performance-driven pearl with teeth designed to give you an edge over your opponents.
The Steel Forge is built upon the Detonator core. This fast-revving, symmetrical core combines a low RG and high Differential to create unparalleled strength and speed. This core features the raw strength needed to create extreme angle, even on heavier volumes of oil.
The same Propulsion MXV Pearl cover found on the asymmetrical Evoke Hysteria is now available on a symmetrical ball. This time, it’s fine tuned for more angle. When combined with a 5000 grit LSS finish, the Steel Forge creates length without sacrificing down-lane motion. It’s clean, angular, and unstoppable. The Steel Forge is a weapon that doesn’t back down!
When To Use
Speed Dominant Bowlers – For bowlers with exceptional ball speed or lower rpm’s, the Iron Forge should be a great ball for late in league night, second shift, and higher friction environments. Speed dominant bowlers have the advantage of being able to use stronger cores than the rev dominant bowlers in the same environment much of the time. The clean and angular Propulsion MXV Pearl cover will offer enough pop down lane on friction, while the fast revving Detonator core should be strong enough to give substantial motion to the speed dominant bowler.
Balanced Bowlers – Balanced bowlers who love the Evoke Hysteria will love having the Steel Forge to go to when the Hysteria is just a bit too early or smooth. Balanced bowlers will be able to use the Steel Forge when they start to really create angle on the lane and need a faster response to friction. The substantial flare offered by the Steel Forge gives enough traction in oil, but without sacrificing too much downlane motion.
Rev Dominant Bowlers – The crankers and two handers will love their ability to use the Steel Forge to create angle and substantial shape on the lane. The Propulsion MXV Pearl is deliberately quite versatile, as proven last year on the PBA Tour. Many rev dominant players on tour were able to use this shell even on fresh with some surface and layout adjustments. Look for the Steel Forge to be useful even in early transition for rev dominant players.
