Brunswick Prism Hybrid Bowling Ball Features:
The Prism Hybrid is the second half of the dual release from Brunswick in their Pro Performance line. It shares the same asymmetrical Portal core with the Prism Solid, but uses the hybrid version of the new ACT coverstock. The Prism Hybrid comes out of the box sanded at 500 SiaAir with Crown Factory Compound. The differences in box finish and coverstock provide less total hook, but more length and a stronger change of direction off the dry compared to the Prism Solid. The box finish makes the Prism Hybrid a nice step down from the Prism Solid on heavier oil volumes, but it was a better option to start with on our fresh medium oil test pattern.
- Eye candy! The Cyan, Black, Opaque White swirl with orange logo looks incredible
- Hybrid version of our new Activator Composite Technology, A.C.T.
- New Core, “Portal” with an ultra-low RG and higher Differential and Intermediate Differential
- Features DynamiCore, DOT and an industry-leading 4-year warranty
- Relativity 2.0 Hybrid cover for down-lane recovery on medium conditions
- 500 Siaair, Crown Factory Compound finish for easy length without missing the breakpoint
- A shiny high-performance asymmetric ball that reads the mid-lane perfectly and has a strong, angular backend motion

The Prism Hybrid is a no questions asked compliment to the Solid. It allows you to play the same part of the lane as the Solid, but when the mid-lane starts to dry out. The Prism Hybrid makes the same shape as the Jagged Edge Hybrid, but 7 and 5 boards stronger. Allowing for an even more seamless integration into your ball arsenal.

The Prism Hybrid is a versatile angular ball that is very useful on moderate conditions. This one gets weekly use in league. I can use it on the fresh but where this Prism really shines once the transition occurs. It has allowed me to move into the puddle of oil in the middle and go around the lane. This ball is about 5 boards less overall than my Prism Solid and about 2 boards more than my Vapor Zone Pearl. It is longer and more angular than the Prism Solid but less angular for me than the Vapor Zone. This ball handles the oil very well and starts in the right part of the lane while maintaining backend reaction. The Prism Hybrid is a great combination of angularity and predictability that will be useful for many styles on moderate conditions. If you are looking for an angular ball that will handle oil check out the Prism Hybrid.

Brunswick: Prism Hybrid- Layout- 65×4.5×30
My initial reaction from the Prism Hybrid is WHOA, this ball hooks down lane! The Prism Hybrid is a ball I love to use when I’m bowling on a tighter lane condition or when I need help with the back ends being slick. The Hybrid provides a clean reaction through the front part of the lane, but absolutely bangs off the back of the pattern. Wow this ball fun to throw!
The Prism Hybrid features the Portal core, wrapped with the ACH Hybrid (Activator Composite Technology) Coverstock. This ball comes at a 500 Siaair/ Crown Factory Compound, and features DOT Technology (Four year Warranty) and Dynami-core. The Core Numbers are: 2.465 RG, .051 Differential and .018 Asymmetric Differential.
This combination has created (in my opinion) the most angular ball reaction in a Brunswick ball I have seen yet. The Prism Hybrid is great for house shots, and really good for tournament conditions when the front part of the lane starts to breakdown. This ball is about 3 to 4 feet longer than the Prism Solid, and much more responsive to the friction.
The Prism Hybrid is best when I want to open my angles up, and really let the ball backend. I really like the shape this ball provides on house patterns. It is a lot of fun to throw, and really helps me free my swing up, as I know this ball is going to hook back to the pocket.

This might be the best asymmetric Brunswick ball I have ever thrown. This ball is super clean and angular but not super angular. Creates an angle that is sharp enough without creating over/under reactions for me. This is probably the hybrid cover. I’m really enjoying this ball right now.

To be honest, the first time I threw the Prism Hybrid is genuinely surprised me. The steep angle this ball can create without sacrificing hitting power is second to none. As a lefty I can step right, throw it left, and be confident it is going to make it back and for me lately that has been an absolute necessity.
One of the best attributes of this ball is it is not just a game 2-3 ball. You can start with it and keep migrating deeper with your feet and it won’t quit on you from the start of game 1 to the end of game 3. You will definitely find yourself keeping this on the rack the whole set.
On challenging patterns, I’ve found this to be a useful tool in my arsenal for later in the squad. The Prism Hybrid can effortlessly floats through the beat up part of the pattern so you won’t be seeing this ball take off on your too early. It is one of the most versatile balls you can get and you’ll have a ton of fun watching it rack up the strikes

This is my first ball drilled since Brunswick purchased the EBI brands. The Prism Hybrid is a good one to start with as it rolls very nice on our current house pattern. Comparing it against my Track/ EBI equipment I would say it is a slightly smoother Track Tactix Hybrid. It picks up a little sooner in the mids and is a little smoother down lane but has a very nice shape. Pins seem to stay low and mix well. I see using this anytime on house shot and for attacking when tournament patterns start to transition.

The first time I put the Prism Hybrid in play was at a regional, on the 42 ft Mark Roth pattern.
The Prism Hybrid looked good in the practice session, once transition showed itself. It was clean up front, with good length, and strong off the pattern. Hit the cover with a 3000 pad and the ball picked up a little earlier with plenty of energy. When I missed right, the Prism Hybrid still recovered with great continuation.
Thanks for the $check$ Prism Hybrid. You already paid for yourself!

Wow! What a ball. It does it all. Super clean and just hits.

This is one of the best asyms I have thrown since being able to throw Brunswick. I would absolutely recommend this ball to anyone. I love how the ball will make it through the fronts with no issue and then dig in and make a left turn on any volume pattern. This ball is one of the greats and I will be drilling multiples.

The Brunswick Prism Hybrid is my new and favorite Hybrid ball to date! The strong angular motion it has on the backend delivers strong hitting power into the pins! It is very clean through the front and mid part of the lane.As a bowler, you look for versatility and this ball is exactly that! House or Sport shot, it is hard to describe my happiness with this ball as it will always be in my bag!Layout: 55 x 4 3/4 x 35 Finish: OOB

Wow! This has got to be one of the best balls I have ever thrown. This asymmetrical hybrid is one of the first balls out of my bag because of its extreme versatility on a variety of patterns and conditions. This ball gets the the fronts super clean and comes off the spot beautifully. Mine is currently pin up and I plan to get another to drill pin down for even more options. Highly recommend this ball!!

Brunswick Prism Hybrid
The Prism line features the new ultra-low RG, dynamically engineered Portal core. The Portal core, coupled with a combination of Activator and Composite cover technologies produces a strike inducing reaction. The Prism Solid will cover any heavy oil condition while the Prism Hybrid will handle transitions, through broken down or lower volume conditions. They were designed to complement each other, the Prism Solid and Prism Hybrid were made to strike. I used one of my favorite layouts on each, 35x5x50 so they are predictable and strong. I can play relatively up the boards at the beginning of league or move deeper inside and have no problem getting this ball strongly back to the pocket. This is a great higher end all purpose ball.

2 @ 15#
Rev rate 300 -315
Speed 15.5 mph
Tilt 13 degrees
PAP 4 3/4 over x 3/4 up
2 balls
Ball #1 drilled 70 x 3 3/4 x 20
The Prism Hybrid with this layout is long and very angular. It gets through the front and mid lane super clean and has a very strong, angular motion to the pocket with ridiculous drive through the pins. With this layout and box finish, I found the Hybrid to behave closer to a pearl in roll and reaction. On a fresh THS, this ball reacted very fast when it found friction down lane, with a very sharp, angular motion that proved to be a bit to strong with the cleaner back ends. I took the surface down to 2000 with an abralon pad and found I had much better carry. I found that as the oil carried down throughout the set, I was able to control the back ends much better.
Ball #2 drilled 65 x 2 x 35
The shorter pin layout was phenomenal. The reaction was very controllable and predictable. The ball gets through the front of the lane with ease. It has great ability to pick up and read the mids and has a strong and controllable motion to the pocket. The ball was not jumpy at all and still hit with a ton of power. I was able to move left and get the ball out with no worry about recovery. I was also able move out with my feet and keep the angles in front of me. Absolutely one of the most versatile balls I have ever rolled. The Prism Hybrid is extremely receptive to surface changes and in this configuration, I can use it on a variety of lane conditions. This is now the first ball out of my bag.
