Motiv Supra Bowling Ball Features:

The Motiv Supra features a new core design that is wrapped in the Infusion Pearl Reactive coverstock. The new High Impulse core is based on the Impulse core found in the early Primal series of bowling balls, which was followed by the Impulse V2 design in later balls like the Primal Rage. In the three versions of this weight block, the differential has remained the same at 0.050″, but the RG has varied. The pairing of this core’s higher RG (2.57″) design with the Infusion Pearl cover from the Ripcord makes the Supra extremely angular when it sees the dry.

Introducing the MOTIV Supra, a ball created specifically to push the limits.  Combining an extreme, dual density core with a sideways pearl reactive cover, the Supra is capable of more down lane motion than any MOTIV ball ever created for light-medium oil.

The Impulse weight block used in the Primal Rage has proven over the last 8 years that it is both reliable and great for creating sharp down lane motion.  With the Supra, we modified the design and pushed the limit to create the new High Impulse weight block.  It gives the 15# model a 2.57 RG and .050 differential.  The high RG spins slowly through the front part of the lane, retaining energy, while the dual density weight block and high differential take over to produce a violent skid-flip backend reaction.

Infusion Pearl Reactive cover stock adds to the snap created down lane by the High Impulse weight block.  This cover provides ease of length with a pronounced response to friction at the end of the pattern.  Utilizing technology from the RipCord and Forge Fire, the Infusion Pearl Reactive cover is the first pearl version in this cover system, offering greater length and more angle.

For me, this ball is extremely fast through the front part of the lane and more angular than the Hydra. When the heads start to burn up and when I want something that’s faster through the front part of the lane, I look sideways and reach for my Supra. This ball is incredibly clean and more angular than my Hydra and Ripcord. I can move left, play deeper and have all the confidence to know this ball will make the corner and give me the sharp down lane motion I am looking for.

I highly recommend this to all.

The Supra is in a category of its own! From the moment I started throwing this ball, I could instantly see how much I’m going to throw it. For someone with a lower rev rate, the backend motion of this ball allows me a lot of miss room on league patterns and medium oil sport patterns. I’ve thrown this on a variety of patterns and I can confirm that this is the quickest down lane motion Motiv has ever produced. When it hits the friction, it doesn’t stop! If you want to see the skip flip motion that we all love, get a Supra!

he supra was exactly what I was waiting for since I came on staff. The supra is very skid/flip with incredible recovery when it hits friction. I have found that for my game it needs to stay in the bag until the lanes dry out. For the higher rev players I could see this becoming the only ball most high rev house bowlers would need to carry. I had a chance to use this on old wood lanes and it did not disappoint, which is what I was hoping for. Really looking forward to using the Supra at the Ohio State USBC tournament this year since it is on older wood lanes.

Wow.. this thing is angular. When I first threw the Supra, I was leaving a lot of 3-6-10’s. I had to make an adjustment a couple boards left to counteract that because this ball goes sideways off friction. The Supra is a really good ball for when lanes are starting to get dry and you need a ball that is clean through the fronts and has that nice snappy motion into the pocket. This ball is always in my bag on league night for when the lanes start to break down and get dry.

    Bowler Specs

    PAP – 4 1/2” over X 3/4” up
    Speed – 17-18mph
    Rev Rate – 450-475
    Axis Rotation – 60 degrees
    Axis Tilt – 9-10 degrees

    Ball Layout – 60 x 4 3/4” x 85 Pin Down

As you can tell by the heading title I might be over exaggerating, but I’m not. This ball lives up to the hype. If you’re having trouble getting the ball through fronts? Seeing too much early hook? Bowl on high friction lanes or your center uses less oil? Well the Supra is your answer. When I can get my hand to do multiple tricks and still see the Supra be very clean through the fronts and miss, but still make that #sideways shape down lane you know you got a special piece in your hand. One word to describe the Supra. IMPRESSIVE!

The layout I used on the Supra is 55x4x30. If you are wanting a ball that is really clean and really fast off the spot… look no further than the Motiv Supra!! This is a ball that can use on drier lane conditions or when the pattern breaks down. When angles need to be open, this ball can do just that. When the Venom Recoil is leaving flat corners for me, I immediately know I can go to this one, make a small move in, and see those corners get snapped out. This ball WILL store energy for the pins.

The layout I used on the Supra is 55-4 ¼-25. This ball is very clean through the fronts with plenty of angle downlane. When the lane starts to dry out, and you need to open up your angles the Supra is the ball to go to. I will be using this ball a lot in tournaments when I need to get left and open up my angles to the friction but still have enough downlane motion to get the corners out.

    5.75×35 @Box Finish

This core and I have gotten along very well for a long time, since the Remix was one of my favorite pieces of all time, so seeing a higher rg version wrapped around a fast response cover is beautiful. With this ball and layout, I find myself able to play steep angles on lower volume/burnt patterns with relative ease. This ball is one that will probably stay in my tournament ball though.

I loved the shape that I got from the first one, but with that cover and drilling, it was far too condition specific, so i drilled one slightly stronger and knocked the shine off and immediately found it a place in the bag for house shots. I find this one to be a perfect compliment to my Shock when the condition forces me left enough that the Shock can’t corner hard enough, this Supra gets the job done. I can go as far left as I want on a house shot, and as long as I have the friction, it’s going to come roaring back.

Depending on what you’re looking for, I’d recommend layouts similar to one of those.
